Plate I — Tucson 2026: What we brought home

Tucson stays Tucson. Twelve days, four hotels' worth of dealer rooms, a cargo van's worth of crates. Here's what came back to Roslyn.

Highlights

Cruzeiro elbaites. A new pocket hit just before the show; we secured eleven crystals from the cleanest run, including the watermelon slice now in the catalogue.

Spessartine on smoky quartz from Tongbei — three matrix pieces in the upper end of the colour scale. Two have already shipped; one waits at the gallery.

Cobaltoan calcite from Mashamba West — a botryoidal piece in saturated raspberry that didn't make it to the photo studio fast enough. (Sold to a client who saw the live video.)

Trends

Demantoid pricing is up, especially Russian material. Anything horse-tailed and gemmy moved fast at every price point. Smoky-citrine scepters from Diamantina were everywhere — quality wildly variable; ours came directly from the mine site.

What's next

We have one more buying trip in Q3 — Brazil, then a quick stop in Madagascar. If you have wishlists, tell us now.
